Poem: Connection
starts with connecting with oneself
Connection
A glimpse of a human eye touches my soul,
hooks under the surface and does not let go
Peeling onion's layers to reach the tears,
searching for myself under clutter of someone else's fears
Although lonely I hate to feel,
only alone I can deal
The connection, the beauty, the charm
The guard of anxiety protecting from harm
I realised, rather than forming a shield,
I let them emotions wash over me and slowly leave
Allowing myself to connect when I please,
I learned to find balance in my own means
Understanding boundaries, magic of permission
Respect myself before submission
Love the world and allow the world to love you back
When including everyone, remember to include yourself.
Thank you,
